At the Technology Lab at Fun Key Music, students combine fun and learning with today’s technology. We use students inclination towards technology to further reinforce concepts learned in the private lesson. Here are just some of the apps and software programs available to students at Fun Key Music.
Groovy Music
These exciting software programs are fun to use, and teach the basics of sound, rhythm, pitch and composition using pictures and animation – progressing to the study of simple notation as well as major and minor scales. Students love Groovy! It guides them with a simple voiceover and lets them create their own music as well as carry out directed activities, so there’s plenty of room for creativity. In fact, Groovy Music is so compelling that once students start making music; they just won’t want to stop!
Music Learning Community
On this website, students have access to literally hundreds of colorful, interactive music games that speed them on their way to becoming Lifetime Musicians. The goal is to help students master the music reading and aural skills they need to achieve satisfaction and success in increasing levels of music performance and creativity.
My Note Games
A suite of games that listen to the student play the piano and make music theory fun! Practice can be playful! This is a student favorite and is requested at many lessons! My
Note Games is like a video game for staff reading, students must master the easy levels and meet their learning targets before moving on to the more challenging levels.
Garage Band
Students can compose their own songs, make arrangements of songs, collaborate with other students and have an entire rock band and orchestra at their fingertips. Garage Band takes composing to the next level!
Music Flash Class
This app drills students on their note reading and can be fully customized to the students ability and knowledge. Students love the “Hot Potato” game on this app where they race against other students to name notes correctly.
