Studio Recitals
Every year, students have multiple opportunities to invite their family and friends and show off their skills at studio recitals. We have had Christmas recitals, Halloween recitals where students wear costumes and play spooky songs, and a studio favorite is the Pop Recital, where students play their favorite songs from the radio, movies and video games. We have even had a band come and play along with us. It was such a hit! Check out our event calendar to see what we’re planning next!
Recital Venues
We hold recitals at a variety of places throughout the year. Here are three locations that we have recitals at often! Click the name of the venue for directions.
Mid America Music Association Festival
Mid America Music Association (MAMA) is a great opportunity for students to participate in a local music festival and have the chance to earn awards. Students have several events to choose from. Some include memorizing songs and performing for an adjudicator, answering questions about music theory, and performing duets.
Parade of American Music
The Parade of American Music celebrates American music and students play compositions from all different American genres including jazz, hymn, spirituals, musical theater, and solo compositions. Students earn a trophy just for participating.
Monster Piano Concert
Held at Missouri Baptist University, the Monster Piano Concert is a unique performing experience for students, friends and family of St. Louis Area Music Teachers Association members. The event features multiple performers on multiple grand pianos simultaneously playing ensemble repertoire with a conductor.
Group Lessons
In addition to these opportunities, students perform for each other at group lessons and we also play at a nursing home once a year.
