Pot of Gold Resources and Giveaway!

I am so pumped about this week’s blog series.  Why? The resources I’m sharing with you are a COMPLETE hit in my studio!

Kids are smiling, engaged, interacting, and learning. Can’t get any better than that!

But wait, IT CAN!!

One LUCKY reader will win each resource featured in the posts this week!

I’m titling this series “Pot of Gold Resources” because these resources are worth their weight in gold, the LUCKY winners of the resource giveaways are striking gold, and we are less than a week away from St. Patrick’s Day!

Let’s get started with the first resource!

Have you ever wanted to incorporate seasonal or holiday games/activities into your lessons, but felt like you didn’t have any time? Time always seems to be on short supply with lesson planning, running your business, and all of the hats that come with being a piano teacher.

Well, I have your answer.  Rather, Johanna at Piano with a Twist has your answer!

No Prep Games for the Busy Music Teacher

She has created a series of products titled “For the Busy Music Teacher”.  These are wonderful no prep games.  Did you catch that, no prep!

All you need are dice and something to use for a game piece. Then simply print out the games and there you have it…it couldn’t get any easier!

Johanna has a real eye for design and your students will be intrigued to play these colorful games.

I am using her St. Patrick’s Day games for my group lessons this week.  I printed them double-sided and laminated them for durability.  Students broke into pairs and played the games on each side of their page.

This happened by mistake…I forgot to uncheck the “Double-sided” feature in my printer options, but it was a happy accident! Students got double the fun and it gave students who finished before others another activity.

Check out the Piano With a Twist page to download her freebie: Snowman Keys-a piano keyboard dice game.

While you’re downloading that, be sure to grab her St. Patrick’s Day Staff Freebie that includes four pages, each with a different theme.

Use for composing, landmark note practice, spelling scales, chords, you name it!
